As a result, SMP/E message GIM23903W will be issued for every module that received MSGIEW2609W. This is not an error condition, and can be safely ignored. 1. 91/07/17 USERS INSTALLING PPFA/370 OVER AN EXISTING COPY OF PPFA MUST ADD A DD STATEMENT IN THE SAMPLE APPLY JOBS IN SECTION 6.1.5 (APPLYCHK) AND 6.1.6 (APPLY) FIG 20 AND 21 WITH A DDNAME OF AKQMOD0 POINTING TO PPFA.AKQMOD0. G E N E R A L I N F O R M A T I O N * ************************************************************************ THIS SECTION CONTAINS GENERAL INFORMATION, I.E. SYSGEN HINTS/TIPS. 4. 97/08/19 If you want to use PPFA barcode function, be sure you have all current maintenance applied. If HRI is requested, the HRI will be rendered using the printer default font, not the font specified on the FIELD FONT subcommand. Please read your printer hardware documentation before using barcodes. The documentation will tell you which barcode types, modifiers, modwidth, element heights and ratio values are valid for that printer. 3. 96/09/26 Please note, as described in apar PN87259 (attached) that an ABEND0C4 in AKQLBIO at X'626' or X'62C' at code level PN83229/UN91996 can occur if both the FORMLIB and PAGELIB DD statements are not specified in your user JCL. To circumvent specify both the FORMLIB and PAGELIB DD statements in your user JCL. 2. 94/09/02 The new BIN in SUBGROUP function of the FORMDEF for cut sheet printers is supported only on the AFCCU 3935 printer. It is not supported on non-AFCCU cut-sheets: 381x, 382x, 391x, 3930, 4028. BIN in SUBGROUP, which was added to PPFA/370 and PPFA/AIX by APAR PN55431, allows users to specify input paper bin on the FORMDEF SUBGROUP subcommand. This allows you to print multiple copies of each page using a different type paper for each copy. For example, when printing 2 copies of each page you can print copy 1 on blue paper from bin 1 and copy 2 on yellow paper from bin 2, The BIN in SUBGROUP function is currently supported on PSF/MVS 2.2 and PSF/400 V3R1. The base product should be ACCEPTED prior to APPLYing UN61994. Failure to do so will cause link edits to give RC=4 for IJJCPDV1 and IJJCPDV2. If the ACCEPT is not done prior to APPYing UN61994 the resultant module will still work. 1. 94/08/31 After application of UN61994 and UN66491, modules AKQCMPD, AKQMTB, AKQSBCM, AKQSBFD, and AKQSBPD are no longer part of the AKQPPFA load module, however they still remain in the AAKQMOD0 distribution library. Therefore, when you try to apply UN29597 along with UN61994 and UN66491, message GIM43401E is received because these five modules no longer are included in any target library. This is not an error condition. If you install UN29597 and then install UN61994 and UN66491 separately, you will not receive message GIM43401E. Modules AKQCMPD, AKQMTB, AKQSBCM, AKQSBFD, and AKQSBPD will still exist in distribution library AAKQMOD0, but they are no longer included in any target library. The modules will be deleted in a future PTF. ************************************************************************ * SECTION 4. If a PPFA/370 job issues the message AKQ402T this indicates that there is not enough storage available to create the PAGEDEF or FORMDEF. One possibility is that the region size is not large enough. Another is that the service level of PPFA does not support acquiring storage above the 16 Meg line. If the region size has been sufficiently increased and this APAR is not applied, application of this APAR may fix the problem. --PTF INCLUDE LIST-- --PTF EXCLUDE LIST-- --PE APAR LIST-- PN87259
