These licensed programs provide fonts digitized for use on 240 dots-per-inch non-impact printers supported by Advanced Function Printing (AFP) software. Associated software support is required. Refer to the Licensed Program Specifications (LPS) for programming requirements. 0 The Sonoran Sans Serif licensed program provides typographic fonts in four typefaces: Roman Medium, Roman Bold, Italic Medium and Italic Bold. Each typeface has 14 point sizes: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 24, 30, and 36, making a total of 56 fonts in the program. 0 The Sonoran Sans Serif optional font material provides PMF export format and unbounded box format. PMF export format is provided for use with the Print Management Facility (PMF) licensed program and must be converted to bounded box format or unbounded box format by PMF before being used for printing. After installation, unbounded box format can be used for printing and does not require PMF. 0 The optional font material is contained on two tapes: a standard label tape ZD1230 (identified externally as SONSAN.FONTS.OPT1) and a non-labeled tape (identified externally as SONSAN.FONTS.OPT2). 0 The standard label tape SONSAN.FONTS.OPT1 contains three sections. The first section contains PMF export format for an MVS environment and is installed using System Modification Program Extended (SMP/E). The second section contains unbounded box format for an MVS environment and is installed using System Modification Program Extended (SMP/E) or IEBCOPY. The third section contains PMF export format for a VM environment, and is installed using a combination of VMFPLC2 and an installation EXEC. 0 The non-labeled tape SONSAN.FONTS.OPT2 contains unbounded box format for a DOS/VSE environment suitable for installation with Maintain System History Program (MSHP). 0 NOTE: Font format terminology is being updated to remove ambiguities. - 0 Preface i 1 - - * The former "source format" is now called "PMF export format".
