Installing the InfoPrint Pro C900AFP Software - Run install_InfoPrintProC900AFP.exe only on a Windows 32 platform. Take care to launch just one instance of the installer. Running more than one instance causes an unsuitable installation. - The install wizard will guide you through installing InfoPrint Pro C900AFP software. -It is strongly recommended that you choose the default folder \InfoPrint (example: C:\Program Files\InfoPrint) as destination folder for this installation. If you choose a different location, please make sure that: - The location is on the system's hard drive. Do not install the application to removable storage drives, mapped network drives, or other network locations that might be inaccessible later. - You have full read and write access in that location - If the Hardware Installation warning dialog appears, please choose 'Continue Anyway' button. Uninstalling the InfoPrint Pro C900AFP Software - Run install_InfoPrintProC900AFP.exe. - On ‘Install Option’ panel choose ‘Uninstall’. - The install wizard will guide you to complete the uninstallation. This will remove all the files installed by the package. It will not remove files and folders created after the installation. Note: Windows 7 will also remove the port attached to the printer. This is a standard behavior of Windows 7. Repairing the InfoPrint Pro C900AFP Software - Run install_InfoPrintProC900AFP.exe - On ‘Install Option’ panel choose ‘Repair’. This will reinstall all the InfoPrintProC900AFP software, but it will not uninstall the existing printer/printers. This will add a new InfoPrint Pro C900AFP printer on system. Updating the InfoPrint Pro C900AFP Software - Run install_InfoPrintProC900AFP.exe - On ‘Update’ panel choose ‘Update’. - The install wizard will guide you to complete the remaining steps. This will update the installed InfoPrint Pro C900AFP Software from the current version to a new version, without adding a new InfoPrint Pro C900AFP printer. Downgrading the InfoPrint Pro C900AFP Software - Run install_InfoPrintProC900AFP.exe - On ‘Update’ panel choose ‘Downgrade’. - The install wizard will guide you to complete the remaining steps. This will downgrade the InfoPrint Pro C900AFP Software from the installed version to an older version. A complete downgrade means an uninstallation of InfoPrint Pro C900AFP printer/printers, InfoPrint Pro C900AFP driver, DSU and JTE followed by an installation of all features. Note that only on Windows 7 OS the port attached on a printer will be erased. Known limitations a. For installer: 1. Take care to launch just one instance of the installer. Running more than one instance can cause an unsuitable installation. b. For InfoPrint Pro C900AFP driver: 1. The collate feature is not well integrated with some applications, such as Microsoft Word or Notepad. This means that, for example, Microsoft Word will ignore the collate feature specified by the Printer Driver/Infoprint JTE and it will take into consideration it's own collate option. 2. When using Acrobat Reader, the Booklet feature must be specified from within the application. If Booklet is specified in the driver, this feature will be ignored by Acrobat Reader. 3. The trays availability is not taken into account in applications, such as Microsoft Word or Notepad. If one tray is disabled from the installed options, it still appears in the applications paper source list. 4. The Microsoft Narrator program cannot read all the content of the list-view control, and this causes accessibility problems (the list-view from Conflict Dialog). 5. In some cases, the InfoPrint JTE splash screen will be shown in the back of the driver and not in front, as it is supposed to be. This does not affect in any way  the normal course of action, as the newly launched InfoPrint JTE application will always appear in front of the driver. 6. The Windows driver cannot insert text on tab before the last page of a certain job, although JTE allows this. The only way to do this is for the user to manually specify a tab insert before a certain page number (which will be the last page of the job). 7.Booklet jobs sent to the Plockmatic Booklet maker are printed with the top of the finished booklet page positioned toward the front of the printer. When the equipment configuration includes a Plockmatic Cover Inserter, then the booklet cover sheets must be loaded into the inserter in a way that is in concert with the way that the pages are printed. This is as follows: Load the cover sheets into the Plockmatic Cover Inserter as follows: - face down - top of the finished booklet cover positioned toward the front of the printer Note that this is different than indicated by the "R" symbol that appears on the Plockmatic Cover Inserter device. 8. Currently Job Ticket Editor supports full cut Tabstock only. c. For Direct Submission Utility: 1. InfoPrint Direct Submission Utility should not be used to submit tickets with Booklet or Text On Tabs media. 2. If the selected ticket location is a read-only directory, new tickets cannot be created. However, tickets from a read-only directory can be edited as long as they are saved using Save As from the Job Ticket Editor in another directory. 3. If you do not have read rights on the ticket location directory, the Ticket List remains empty. 4. If you do not have read rights for a selected ticket, the retrieval of Job Name and Description fails, the ticket is considered invalid and is removed from the Ticket List. 5. Using versions of Adobe Reader older than version 9 could generate problems in printing.
