Before you start using office monitor set "preferences" by clicking on
Preferences
- Set your full email address: joe.q.public@ace.com. You will always be the first person in the list.
- Uncheck "read Only" if you would like to update other's status.
- Set groups of interest if you would like to only see status of people belonging to specific teams. Thats the Teams in admin.html
- Check "Only show Absent Users" to filter out users that are present for the whole week
- Check "view pictures" to optionally see pictures of users.
Use the UI after preferences have been set.
- Click a cell to cycle through available events. Only frequently used events are available this way.
- Click the "green check" in the confirm column to commit the change, or "red X" to discard it.
- Click the "pencil icon" in a cell if you want to add a message, or if you can't set the correct events just by cycling thru
- "Pencil icon" opens the "Advanced Edit" dialog. Uncheck "Full day" to set AM and PM events independently.
- Click on "pencil icon" in the "Advanced Edit" to add a message.
- You do not need to add a redundant message like "I am working at home in AM" if you already have set the event correctly.
