The Dataset List dialog provides a tool which retrieves a list of datasets based on a dataset name pattern, where the results are displayed and a single dataset may be selected.

The dataset name may include filter keys which are interpreted as follows:
Note: that a single or double asterisk, or percent sign by itself will not be permitted and will fail. This is to prevent a user from requesting a list of all datasets in the system.
