Allocation size

Size

The size of the allocations for the data sets required by the language. The required data sets are normally input source files, zFolders, or output data sets created by the build. The Enterprise Extensions Dependency Build creates data sets for input source files when they are loaded from the repository before a build and for output data sets when they are needed during a build. To create the required data sets with adequate space to accommodate input and output data, values for primary and secondary allocations must be known by the build.

There are three choices for allocation size: Small, Medium, and Large:

The following table describes the primary and secondary allocations for each compiler/utility for each required DD in cylinders. The values in the table below may be adjusted after system definitions have been created by editing the specific resource definitions that need to be changed:
