HOWTO: Configuring the ServeRAID Adapter

1. Insert the ServeRAID Update CD and reboot the node
   
   
2. At the "ServeRAID Manager" screen, click the Update button.
   
   
3. Wait for the microcode, firmware, and boot block updates to complete. Their completion is indicated by the appearance of a "ROM Update Wizard" pop-up window.
   
   
4. Click the OK button in the pop-up window.
   
   
5. Click the Next button and then click the Finish button, the node will reboot off the ServeRAID CD
   
   
6. At the "ServeRAID Manager [Configure the ServeRAID Controller" screen, verify the "Express configuration for controller 1" is selected and click the Next button.
   
   
7. Click the Apply button
   
   
8. At the Confirmation prompt, click the Yes button
   
   
9. The RAID Array will now be configured. A message will be displayed when it completes.
   
   
10. Verify that the "Automatically Eject CD" box is checked and click the Restart button
    
    
11. Remove the ServeRAID Update CD after it is automatically ejected
