Summary Status Values

In the End-Point View and in the Switch Topology View, the Status column displays link status on a line that represents a link. For the levels above a link, the Status column displays a summary of the status values for the links below that level. Here are the status values for the levels above a link and their meanings.

Action reqd

At least one link below this level has a status category of Svc reqd.

Down

All links below this level have a status category of Down.

Mixed

There is a mixture of status levels for the links below this level, but no link has a category of Svc reqd.

Up

All links below this level have a status category of Up.

Link Status Values

Here are the status values that appear on a line that represents a link.

Down: No riser detected

The switch reports that there is no Switch Port Connection Card (riser) installed for this link. If this is unexpected, refer to your Service Guide on how to address this.

Down: Not operational

This link is not up on the switch network. This state should change in a short time. You should return later and refresh the GUI to get the latest status. If the status is persistent, please refer to your Service Guide on how to address this.

Down: Powered Off

The switch to which this link is connected is powered off. If you don't believe the switch should be powered off, please check Service Focal Point for any power incidents.

Down: System event reported

There was an error trying to enable this link. The error has been logged as a system event. Refer to your Service Guide on how to address this problem.

Down: Unavailable

This link is associated with a SNI (adapter) that is present but not functional. If this is unexpected, it is highly likely that an Serviceable Event has been reported to Service Focal Point by either the OS, or the CECCSP. Check Service Focal Point for a Serviceable Event associated with this adapter.

Svc reqd: Error reported
