By furnishing this document, IBM grants no licenses to any patents or copyrights. ============================================================= ------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.0 INFORMATION FOR APAR SE60335 ------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.1 Problem Description ------------------------------------------------------------------- Using 7.1 System i Navigator, When configuring EIM, the wizard will not complete resulting in an incomplete EIM configuration. Recreation steps: 1) Start System i Navigator 2) Expand a System 3) Expand Network 4) Expand Enterprise Identity Mapping 5) Right click on Configuration and select Configure... or Reconfigure... 6) Go through the wizard and click Finish, the EIM configuration will not be saved ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 INSTALLATION NOTES ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.1 Applying the patch ----------------------------------------------------- On your PC where service pack SI53584 has been applied, perform the following steps: 1) Close System i Navigator. 2) Locate the installation directory for IBM i Access for Windows. Start -> All Programs -> IBM i Access for Windows -> -> IBM i Access for Windows Properties select General tab "Installed to directory:" contains the installation directory. (eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access ) 3) Locate the Classes sub directory below the installation directory 4) Back up the current cwbunsyn.jar. Either move it to another directory or rename it. (eg cwbunsyn.jar_old) 5) Download the updated cwbunsyn.jar and place it in this directory. 6) The installation is complete. 2.2 Removing the patch --------------------------- 1) Close System i Navigator. 2) Locate the installation directory for IBM i Access for Windows. Start -> All Programs -> IBM i Access for Windows -> -> IBM i Access for Windows Properties select General tab "Installed to directory:" contains the installation directory. (eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access ) 3) Locate the Classes sub directory below the installation directory 4) Replace the cwbunsyn.jar file with the original copy you saved in step 4) above when "Applying the patch". ------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.0 PERMANENT FIX DELIVERY ------------------------------------------------------------------- The permanent fix will be delivered in the next V7R1 Service Pack scheduled for December 2014.
