Start System i Navigator. 2. Expand System -> Basic Operations -> Printer Output 3. Select one spooled file. The spooled file should refer to two overlays under the same user-created library. 4. Double click the spooled file. It fails to open with an error that the second overlay is not found. ------------------------------------------------ 1.2 Problem Description for APAR SE54136 ------------------------------------------------ Here are the steps to recreate: 1. Start System i Navigator. 2. Expand System -> Basic Operations -> Printer Output 3. Select one spooled file including one image and double click to open it. 4. The image's view quality in AFP Viewer 2.05.05.07 is not as good as the old versions. ------------------------------------------------ 1.3 Problem Description for APAR SE54364 ------------------------------------------------ Here are the steps to recreate: 1. Start System i Navigator. 2. Expand System -> Basic Operations -> Printer Output 3. Select one multi-page spooled file and double click to open it. 4. Go to File -> Print, select All pages and click Print button. 5. The first few pages are printed fine but the rest are printed as blank pages. ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 INSTALLATION NOTES ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.1 Applying the patch ----------------------------------------------------- Perform the following steps on your PC: 1) Close System i Navigator if it's running. 2) Enter the installation directory of IBM i Access for Windows.(eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access ) 3) Backup the current AFPViewr folder. Move it out of the Client Access folder and put it into a safe place. 4) Download the new AFPViewr.zip and unzip it into the Client Access directory. 5) Copy cwbprt32.ini and cwbport2.ini into the new AFPViewr directory from the old AFPViewr folder you just saved. 6) From the Start menu click IBM i Access for Windows -> AFP Workbench Viewer and select Options -> Preferences -> More. 7) Change Locale to the icudt44l directory.(eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\AFPViewr\Cnv\icudt44l ) 8) The installation is complete. 2.2 Removing the patch --------------------------- Perform the following steps on your PC: 1) Close System i Navigator if it is running. 2) Enter the installation directory of IBM i Access for Windows.(eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access ) 3) Replace the AFPViewr folder with the original copy you previously saved. 4) From the Start menu click IBM i Access for Windows -> AFP Workbench Viewer and select Options -> Preferences -> More. 5) Change Locale to the icudt36l directory.(eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\AFPViewr\Cnv\icudt36l ) ------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.0 PERMANENT FIX DELIVERY ------------------------------------------------------------------- The permanent fix will be delivered in the next V7R1 Service Pack scheduled for December 2013.
