Start System i Navigator. 2. Expand System -> Network -> TCP/IP Configuration -> IPv4 -> Interfaces 3. Right click on a Virtual IP interface 4. Make sure that the VIPA interface is ACTIVE, then right click on the interface and select "properties" 5. Click on the "Advanced Tab", and select "Enable Proxy ARP" 6. Click on the "OK" button 7. Return to the list of interfaces, and you can see that Proxy ARP is not set ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 INSTALLATION NOTES ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.1 Applying the patch ----------------------------------------------------- Perform the following steps on your PC: 1) Close System i Navigator if it's running. 2) Enter the installation directory of IBM i Access for Windows.(eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access ) 3) Enter the Classes sub directory under the installation directory.(eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\Classes ) 4) Backup the current cwbuntci.jar file. Move it out of the Classes folder and put it into a safe place. 5) Download the new cwbuntci.jar and place it in this directory. 6) The installation is complete. 2.2 Removing the patch --------------------------- Perform the following steps on your PC: 1) Close System i Navigator if it is running. 2) Enter the installation directory of IBM i Access for Windows.(eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access ) 3) Enter the Classes sub directory under the installation directory.(eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\Classes ) 4) Replace the cwbuntci.jar file with the original copy you previously saved. ------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.0 PERMANENT FIX DELIVERY ------------------------------------------------------------------- The permanent fix will be delivered in the next V7R1 Service Pack scheduled for May 2012.
