This is caused by a change made for extended timestamp precision support for IBM i 7.2. In this case, the timestamp escape sequence is replaced with a timestamp with 12 digits of precisions. IBM i 7.1 systems do not like this syntax and will return the aforementioned SQL0180. ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 INSTALLATION NOTES ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.1 Applying the patch ------------------------------------------------------------------- This temporary patch is only compatible with 7.1 IBM i Access for Windows service pack SI53584. Perform the following steps on your PC: 1) Download the zip file and unzip it. 2) Close System i Navigator if it's running and any ODBC applications. 3) Rename the original cwbodbc.dll files in C:\Windows\System32 and/or C:\Windows\SysWOW64. 3) Copy the cwbodbc.dll files in to the proper locations: For Windows 32-bit: x86/cwbcore.dll -> C:\Windows\System32 x86/cwbodbc.dll -> C:\Windows\System32 For Windows 64-bit: x86/cwbcore.dll -> C:\Windows\SysWOW64 x86/cwbodbc.dll -> C:\Windows\SysWOW64 x64/cwbcore.dll -> C:\Windows\System32 x64/cwbodbc.dll -> C:\Windows\System32 5) The installation is complete. 2.2 Removing the patch --------------------------- Perform the following steps on your PC: 1) Close System i Navigator if it is running and any ODBC applications. 2) Remove the cwbcore.dll and cwbodbc.dll files from C:\Windows\System32 and/or C:\Windows\SysWOW64. 3) Rename the original cwbcore.dll and cwbodbc.dll files in C:\Windows\System32 and/or C:\Windows\SysWOW64. 4) Removal is complete. ------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.0 PERMANENT FIX DELIVERY ------------------------------------------------------------------- The permanent fix will be delivered in the next V7R1 Service Pack scheduled for December 2014.
