1.0 INFORMATION FOR APAR SE53881

1.1  Problem Description
-------------------------------------------------------------------

  COPY command over STRPCCMD doesn't create copied file with correct file
  extension if one or more spaces are located just before COPY command on
  PCCMD parameter. Unexpected one character is added to its extension.

  Example; STRPCCMD PCCMD("#COPY C:\FLD1\ABC.TXT EFG.TXT")
  * # means space.

  File name will be; EFG.TXTT

  This problem can occur if you use HCP 930/939/1399 and so on. If you 
  use HCP 37, this problem will not exist.

2.0 INSTALLATION NOTES

2.1 Applying the patch

-------------------------------------------------------------------

    1) Close all open emulator sessions.
    2) Locate the "Emulator" folder inside the IBM i Access install path.
       By default, this is "C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\Emulator"
    3) In that directory, rename the file pcspco.dll.exe to pcspco.dll.bak
    4) Save the patch version of pcspco.dll into this directory.


2.2 Removing the patch
---------------------------

    1) Close all open emulator sessions.
    2) Locate the "Emulator" folder inside the IBM i Access install path.
       By default, this is "C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\Emulator"
    3) Rename the file pcspco.dll.bak to pcspco.dll

3.0 PERMANENT FIX DELIVERY

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The permanent fix will be delivered in a future release of V6R1. No 
special action (beyond installing the appropriate V6R1 updates) will 
be necessary for the user to acquire this fix.

4.0 REPORTING PROBLEMS 

If you need to report a problem with the 5250 emulator any time after
you have installed this patch, please let your IBM service representative
know this patch has been applied.
