Start System i Navigator. 2. Expand System -> Configuration and Service -> Hardware -> Disk Units 3. Sign on with Service Tool user id and password. 4. Select Disk Pools-> New Disk Pool 5. On the new disk pool wizard, when you click Next button, the panel may hang. ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 INSTALLATION NOTES ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.1 Applying the patch ----------------------------------------------------- Perform the following steps on your PC: 1) Close System i Navigator if it's running. 2) Enter the installation directory of IBM i Access for Windows.(eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access ) 3) Enter the Classes sub directory under the installation directory.(eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\Classes ) 4) Backup the current auiswing.jar file. Move it out of the Classes folder and put it into a safe place. 5) Download the new auiswing.jar and place it in this directory. 6) The installation is complete. 2.2 Removing the patch --------------------------- Perform the following steps on your PC: 1) Close System i Navigator if it is running. 2) Enter the installation directory of IBM i Access for Windows.(eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access ) 3) Enter the Classes sub directory under the installation directory.(eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\Classes ) 4) Replace the auiswing.jar file with the original copy you previously saved. ------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.0 PERMANENT FIX DELIVERY ------------------------------------------------------------------- The permanent fix for 7.1 System i Navigator is already included in 7.1 PTF SI44594.
