Each command can be individually executed without a problem, as in: RMTCMD CRTLIB LIB(xxx) //SystemIName ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 INSTALLATION NOTES ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.1 Applying the patch ------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) If running Windows Vista or Windows 7 or their Server editions, either disable User Account Control (UAC) or run as a fully-elevated Administrator. 2) Ensure Remote Command is not running. 3) Navigate to the Windows directory (%windir%). Frequently this is "C:\WINDOWS" 4) In that directory, rename the file rmtcmd.exe to rmtcmd.exe.bak 5) Save the patch version of rmtcmd.exe into this directory. 2.2 Removing the patch --------------------------- 1) Run as a fully-elevated Administrator. 2) Ensure Remote Command is not running. 3) Navigate to the Windows directory (%windir%). Frequently this is "C:\WINDOWS" 4) Rename the file rmtcmd.exe.bak to rmtcmd.exe ------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.0 PERMANENT FIX DELIVERY ------------------------------------------------------------------- The permanent fix will be delivered in a future Service Pack of 7.1. No special action (beyond installing the appropriate 7.1 Service Pack) will be necessary for the user to acquire this fix. ------------------------------------------------------------------- 4.0 REPORTING PROBLEMS If you need to report a problem with Remote Command any time after you have installed this patch, please let your IBM service representative know this patch has been applied.
