1.0 Update for PTF SI41053

1.1  Problem Description
------------------------------------------------

  While trying to install service pack SI41053 using either
  Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese as
  the language used for the install panels, some install panels
  have invalid characters and the install eventually stops and
  will not complete.

  This problem only occurs when you are applying the service pack
  to your PC from an IBM i server where SI41053 has been applied.

  To fix this issue, apply the patch below to the IBM i server
  where SI41053 has been applied.

  Do not apply this patch to an IBM i server if SI41053 has
  already been superseded by another service pack.

2.0 INSTALLATION NOTES

2.1 Applying the patch
-----------------------------------------------------

    1) Unzip the files in SI41053.zip
		1028.mst - Simplified Chinese
		1041.mst - Japanese
		1042.mst - Korean
		2052.mst - Traditional Chinese
    2) Make sure PTF SI41053 has been applied to the IBM i server
       where you will be applying this patch, and make sure it has
       not been superseded.
    3) Copy the above files to the following directory:
	/QIBM/ProdData/Access/Windows/Image32

       Note:
       This was only a problem for Image32.
       Image64a and Image64i are not affected.

    
2.2 Removing the patch
---------------------------

    1) Remove PTF SI41053.
       RMVPTF LICPGM(5761XE1) SELECT(SI41053)
    2) APPLY PTF SI41053.
       APYPTF LICPGM(5761XE1) SELECT(SI41053)

3.0 PERMANENT FIX DELIVERY

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The permanent fix will be delivered in the next service pack that
supersedes SI41053.
