By furnishing this document, IBM grants no licenses to any patents or copyrights. ============================================================= ------------------------------------------------------------------- TABLE OF CONTENTS ------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.0 INFORMATION FOR APAR SE46270 1.1 Problem description 2.0 INSTALLATION NOTES 2.1 Applying the patch 2.2 Removing the patch 3.0 PERMANENT FIX DELIVERY ------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.0 INFORMATION FOR APAR SE46270 ------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.1 Problem Description ------------------------------------------------ Recreation steps: 1) Start IBM i Navigator R610 SP SI41053 2) Expand the management central system 3) Expand Monitors 4) Click on JOB or FILE 5) Right click on JOB or FILE and select "New Monitor.." 6) Give it a name and description and select general settings 7) After all the needed values are set click on the "OK" button to create the monitor. 8) The monitor is not created ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0 INSTALLATION NOTES ------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.1 Applying the patch ----------------------------------------------------- On your PC where service pack SI41053 has been applied, perform the following steps: 1) Close System i Navigator. 2) Locate the installation directory for IBM i Access for Windows. Start -> All Programs -> IBM i Access for Windows -> -> IBM i Access for Windows Properties select General tab "Installed to directory:" contains the installation directory. (eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access ) 3) cd to the Classes sub directory below the installation directory 4) Back up the current jopnav.jar. Either move it to another directory or rename it. (eg jopnav.jar_old) 5) Download the updated jopnav.jar and place it in this directory. 6) The installation is complete. 2.2 Removing the patch --------------------------- 1) Close System i Navigator. 2) Locate the installation directory for IBM i Access for Windows. Start -> All Programs -> IBM i Access for Windows -> -> IBM i Access for Windows Properties select General tab "Installed to directory:" contains the installation directory. (eg C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access ) 3) cd to the Classes sub directory below the installation directory 4) Replace the jopnav.jar file with the original copy you saved in step 4) above when "Applying the patch". ------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.0 PERMANENT FIX DELIVERY ------------------------------------------------------------------- The permanent fix will be delivered in the next V6R1 Service Pack scheduled for May 2011.
