Env: iSeries Navigator R610 connecting to IBM i 7.1 Customer try to see and modify properties of a Virtual IP Interface on IBM i 7.1 using iSeries Navigator R610 and gets an error. After some other tests he finds the problem appears only if there is a Preferred Interface indicated on this interface. This fix contains one file named cwbuntpi.jar. If you need to contact Service about problems with this jar file, you should mention that you are using a version you downloaded from the FTP site, not the original that was shipped with the GA level of the product. If you reinstall System i Access for Windows or install a fix pack, you will need to repeat the file replacement instructions below. However, once you install next System i Access for Windows 5761-XE1 V6R1M0 Service Pack whose target available date is December 1, 2010, you will need to take no other actions, because this fix will be contained in that Service Pack. File replacement instructions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Perform the steps below. The file locating, renaming, and copying may be done from either a Command Prompt window, or using equivalent operations from a GUI: 1) Close System i Navigator. 2) Locate the file named cwbuntpi on your client workstation. This file should be located by starting in the System i Access for Windows install directory, and then within a subdirectory named Classes. For example: C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\Classes 3) Rename cwbuntpi.jar to cwbuntpi.jar.bak in that location. For example: rename cwbuntpi.jar cwbuntpi.jar.bak 4) Copy the cwbuntpi.jar file to that location. If you reinstall System i Access for Windows or install a fix pack before December 1, 2010, you will need to perform this copy again to apply this fix. 5) Start System i Navigator.
