5722XE1 V5R4M0 IBM iSeries Access for Windows In this directory is the fix level for V5R4M0 iSeries Access for Windows NonStandard Pc5250 (Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese versions) that is equivalent to the Standard Pc5250 level in service pack SI32972. In particular, the following APARs are fixed: APAR SE34002: CA400EXP-TERMEMUL-INCORROUT IN USER-DEFINED SCREENS, THE "PC" DDS KEYWORD IS IGNORED WHEN THE DISPLAY REFRESHES. In a user defined screen, the "PC" keyword is ignored in the case of screen refresh and error handling. APAR SE34044: CA400EXP-TERMEMUL-UNPRED FOLLOWING INSTALLATION OF SI29771 FOR V5R4 OF 5722XE1, USERS RECEIVE PCSWS041 Following installation of SI29771 for V5R4 of 5722XE1, users receive PCSWS041. A removal of the SP resolves the issue. APAR SE34106: OSP-PAR-940XMISC AFTER SI30707 INSTALLATION V5R3 5722XE1, PCSWS041 RECEIVED ATTEMPTING TO RUN MACRO ON WINDOWS 2003 SERVER Following installation of SI30707 V5R3 5722XE1, users receive error message PCSWS041 "The system has insufficent resource or the script is not properly installed" when attempting to run a macro on Windows 2003 Server APAR SE34184: CA400EXP-TERMEMUL-UNPRED PCSWS.EXE FAILS WITH PCSWLIB.DLL FAULTING ON PC5250 LAUNCH When opening PC5250 sessions, PCSWS.EXE fails with pcswlib.dll faulting. APAR SE34231: CA400EXP-PRINTEMUL VIETNAMESE SUPPORT FOR PC5250 PRINTER EMULATION Support for Vietnamese characters is needed for PC5250 printer emulation support. It should be able to recognize input code page 1130, and it also needs to print combination characters while keeping columnar data lined up, similar to what has been done for Thai printing. APAR SE34629: CA400EXP-TERMEMUL-UNPRED PASTE INTO AN PC5250 SESSION WILL LET THE SESSION DIE WITHOUT A MESSAGE Client is using PC5250 session in a CITRIX or TSE / RemoteDesktop environment. Using the COPY / PASTE function in a PC5250 session will let the session die, this behavior will occur more often if the client is using the "SoundsOn=Y" parameter in the WS file. APAR SE35063: CA400EXP-TERMEMUL-THREADS-INCORROUT INSTALLING SI29771 CAUSES THE URL/HOTSPOTS TO FAIL TO LAUNCH THE WEBBROWSER IN PC5250. Windows 2003 Server, installing SI29771 causes the URL/Hotspots to fail to launch the web browser in PC5250. APAR SE35381: CA400EXP-TERMEMUL-THREADS-UNPRED INCORRECT CUSOR POSITION IN PC5250 AFTER INSTALLING SI31388. The cursor appears to move when user on a different PC performs actions on thier 5250 session. and/or cusor doesn't behaive as it should. This fix package applies to V5R4M0 service pack SI32972, or newer. Please do not attempt to apply this fix to any other release of iSeries Access for Windows, or any older service pack level. If you need to contact IBM Service about problems with these fixes, you should mention that you are using a NonStandard Pc5250 version with a build level of 20081104 (November 04, 2008). Installation Instructions: -------------------------- Note: If you are concerned about uninstalling this fix and moving back to your previous level - do the following before installing: -- Copy the Emulator directory in default folder C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access into a new directory EmulatorBackup When you have tested out the new Pc5250 support successfully, you can delete EmulatorBackup to free up disk space. 1. Run Pc5250TKP.exe (will extract files to a temporary directory and then display a Welcome panel) 2. On the Welcome panel, press Next to update Pc5250 to the new service level. The install wizard will determine which version of Pc5250 (Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese) is installed, and will install only the fixes for the appropriate version. 3. Press Finish to complete the update wizard If you did not make a backup of the previous level, and find out later that you need to return to that level, you can perform the following: -- Run Selective Setup to uninstall Pc5250 (removes this new service level). -- Run Selective Setup again to a source image (for instance initial install media) and select Pc5250 for installation (installs an older service level)
