5722XE1 V5R3M0 IBM iSeries Access for Windows

In this directory are the following fix for V5R3M0 iSeries Access for Windows
pertaining to the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) used by Secure Sockets Layer.
This fix involves adding an additional JRE 1.4.1 to a client PC that already has
JRE 1.4.2 .

JRE 1.4.1 shipped with the original V5R3M0 iSeries Access for Windows media, and
can be upgraded to JRE 1.4.2 by the V5R3JRE142 download package or PTF 5722XE1 SI16716.
After upgrade to JRE 1.4.2, a problem exists importing certificates for Secure Sockets Layer
via the IBM Key Management shortcut in the IBM iSeries Access for Windows folder.
The IBM Key Management GUI will hang, and need to be cancelled.

With this V5R3JRE141 download, an additional JRE 1.4.1 directory will be
created on the client PC under the Client Access install folder as subdirectory JRE141.
An additional shortcut "IBM JRE 141 Key Management" will be created in the 
IBM iSeries Access for Windows folder.

When the new shortcut is used, IBM Key Management will be launched with JRE 1.4.1,
and the hang will not occur when importing certificates.

The additional IBM JRE 1.4.1 package can be uninstalled via Add/Remove Programs
and the IBM iSeries Access for Windows JRE 1.4.1 entry.

This fix ONLY applies to V5R3M0 service pack SI17411 or newer with JRE 1.4.2 installed and
the Secure Sockets component installed.  Please do not attempt to
apply this fix to any other release of iSeries Access for Windows, or any other 
service pack level.


Installation Instructions:
--------------------------

1.  Run V5R3JRE141.exe (will extract files to a temporary directory and
      then display a Welcome panel)
2.  On the Welcome panel, press Next to add the additional Java Runtime Environment 1.4.1 level
3.  Press Finish to complete the update wizard
