5722XE1 V5R2M0 IBM iSeries Access for Windows In this directory is the fix level for V5R2M0 iSeries Access for Windows NonStandard Pc5250 (Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese versions) that is equivalent to the Standard Pc5250 level in service pack V5R2M0 5722XE1 SI09809. This is also equivalent to the contents of PTF V5R2M0 5722XE1 SI18063, which will be released prior to May 27th, 2005. SE18063 supersedes PTF V5R2M0 5722XE1 SI10654. In addition, the following APARs are fixed: APAR SE18244: CA400EXP-2-INCORROUT "." PRINTS AS "?" IN PRINT SCREEN TO "." prints as "?" in print screen to locally attached PC printer. (This is fixed for Simplified Chinese only) APAR SE18374: OSP-PAR PCSXLT001 ERROR GIVEN ON PC5250 SESSION WITH The following error message pop-up occurs when doing Print Screen function from a PC5250 session WS profile that has been migrated from an earlier release. The WS profile contains a Translation section. PCSXLT001 - The file C:\ is not a iSeries Access for Windows code page translation file. (This is fixed for Simplified Chinese only) APAR SE18575: CA400EXP-TERMEMUL-INCORROUT LOCAL PRINT SCREEN FUNCTION FAIL This problem was discovered on the Traditional Chinese version of Windows XP service pack 2. V5R2M0 of iSeries Access is in use with service level SI16136. If the host code page of the display session is set to 37, a local print screen does not work. If they use code page 937 or 500, the print operation works correctly. (This is fixed for Traditional Chinese only) In addition, this also contains PCOMM defect fixes already given to some customers on an individual basis: Defect 92803 (Simplified Chinese) Defect 95551 (Simplified Chinese) Defect 92151 (Simplified Chinese) Defect 91991 (Simplified Chinese) Defect 91364 (Traditional Chinese) This fix package applies to V5R2M0 service pack SI09809 or newer. Please do not attempt to apply this fix to any other release of iSeries Access for Windows, or any older service pack level. If you need to contact IBM Service about problems with these fixes, you should mention that you are using a Pc5250 version with a build level of 20030915 (September, 15, 2003). Installation Instructions: -------------------------- Note: If you are concerned about uninstalling this fix and moving back to your previous level - do the following before installing: -- Copy the Emulator directory in default folder C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access into a new directory EmulatorBackup When you have tested out the new Pc5250 support successfully, you can delete EmulatorBackup to free up disk space. 1. Run Pc5250TKP.exe (will extract files to a temporary directory and then display a Welcome panel) 2. On the Welcome panel, press Next to update Pc5250 to the new service level. The install wizard will determine which version of Pc5250 (Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese) is installed, and will install only the fixes for the appropriate version. 3. Press Finish to complete the update wizard If you did not make a backup of the previous level, and find out later that you need to return to that level, you can perform the following: -- Run Selective Setup to uninstall Pc5250 (removes this new service level). -- Run Selective Setup again to a source image (for instance initial install media) and select Pc5250 for installation (installs an older service level)
