5722XE1 V5R1M0 IBM AS/400 Client Access Express In this directory is a fix for a V5R1M0 Client Access Express Traditional Chinese Pc5250 problem that is not in the SI08287 PTF: APAR = SE10023 CA400EXP-PRINTEMUL DBCS COMPUTER OUTPUT REDUCTION DBCS Computer Output Reduction (COR) does not work for a PC5250 printer emulation session. This fix ONLY applies to V5R1M0 service pack SI08287. Please do not attempt to apply this fix to any other release of Client Access Express. If you need to contact Service about problems with this DLL, you should mention that you are using a version of pcspd.dll with a modification timestamp of 5:18 AM (versus 5:10 AM for other SI08287 fixes). This fix may be applied using two different methods. The fastest method is to use file replacement. This method replaces the file or files on a PC with those that contain fixes. The second method, CAB replacement, replaces CAB and HDR files on the server. With CAB replacement, PC's installing Client Access Express will pick up the fix automatically. File replacement instructions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1) Locate the file pcspd.dll on your client workstation. This file should be located in the Emulator directory under the iSeries Access for Windows install directory (for example, C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\Emulator) 2) Rename pcspd.dll to pcspd.bak. 3) Copy the fix version of pcspd.dll into the same directory. CAB replacement instructions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1) Place EMUTBAS1.CAB and EMUTBAS1.HDR from this directory in the Client Access Express installation image containing SI08287, replacing the existing files. 2) A user can then install or upgrade Client Access Express from this combined image.
