Readme file for fix to Client Access/400 16-bit API Support Layer Version: Version 3, Release 1, Mod 2 Module names: cwbappcd.exe and cwbap32.dll What has been fixed: These modules provide a fix for APAR SA68689. The problem is if you use the 16-bit API support with an application that specifies an 8-mode character name, the Extended Allocate will fail with rc = 0x1C (EHNAPPC_PARMCHKBADPARTNERNAME). Installation: 1) Press CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up the task list. Select cwbappcd and end the task. 2) Copy cwbappcd.exe to where you installed Client Access. The default directory is C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access. 3) Copy cwbap32.dll to the Windows system directory. The default for Win95 is C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM, and the default for NT is C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32. 4) Reboot the PC.
