This 2.02.02.03 version of the AFP viewer can be used to fix all versions
2.02.xx.xx of the AFP Viewer. If you also install the FTD2020203MRI.zip file
it can be used to replace any version of the AFP Viewer, though it will
be an English only installation. 


The following is the correct procedure for installing the 
2.02.02.03 AFP Viewer on versions of Client Access: 

1) Close all instances of the AFP Viewer.

2) Save the file FTD2020203.zip to your PC.

3) From Windows Explorer, double click the FTD2020203.zip file.

4) Drag the folder named "Program Files" shown in the Explorer window to C:\
   where C:\ is the drive where Client Access is installed. If C:\ is not where Client Access is 
   installed, change to the correct drive. You should get an error message indicating that a
   folder named "Program Files" already exists and asking if you want to overwrite this folder.
   Answer yes. If you do not get this error message, you are copying the folder to the wrong 
   location. 

5) Navigate to the C:\PROGRAM FILES\IBM\CLIENT ACCESS\AFPVIEWR directory and
   run the following command: "regedit AFPViewer.reg"

6) View a file using the AFP Viewer and while open select Help->About and verify that the 
   version of the AFP viewer is 2.02.02.03.

Perform the following steps only if you are upgrading from a version other than 2.02.xx.xx.

1) Save the file FTD2020203MRI.zip to your pc. 

2) From Windows Explorer, double click the FTD2020203MRI.zip file. 

3) Drag the folder named "Program Files" shown in the Explorer window to C:\
   where C:\ is the drive where Client Access is installed. If C:\ is not where Client Access is 
   installed, change to the correct drive. You should get an error message indicating that a
   folder named "Program Files" already exists and asking if you want to overwrite this folder.
   Answer yes. If you do not get this error message, you are copying the folder to the wrong 
   location. 

4) Navigate to the C:\PROGRAM FILES\IBM\CLIENT ACCESS\AFPVIEWR directory and
   drag the files ftdres2.dll, ftdwinvw.hlp and cwbvemsg.dll to the mri directory ie 
   C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\MRIxxxx where c:\ is the drive that Client Access is installed
   on and MRIxxxx is the language id for your country.  

5) Also from the C:\PROGRAM FILES\IBM\CLIENT ACCESS\AFPVIEWR directory, drag the AFP Workbench Viewer 
   shortcut and drop it into the iSeries Access for Windows folder. It will replace the AFP Workbench
   Viewer shortcut that exists there, so answer "Yes" when asked if you would like to overwrite the 
   existing shortcut.
