Tutorial Before You Begin Instructions

To run this tutorial you will need to install IBM WebSphere Development Studio Client
for iSeries (Standard or Advanced Edition) Version 5.1 on your Microsoft Windows Operating
System. See Development Studio Client product for Windows operating system requirements.

You also need to install all the latest software updates available through 
Help > Software Updates after you complete the install of Development Studio Client 5.1. 

Next you need to have access to an iSeries running V5R1 or later. All latest PTFs must
be installed on the iSeries system. See also Development Studio Client product
for iSeries operating system requirements.

Then you will need to download the PDF containing the tutorial instructions. 

Finally you will restore the savefile provided.


To restore the savefile:

1. Create a save file named RSELABXX in library QGPL on the iSeries by typing the 
following on an OS/400 command prompt:
CRTSAVF QGPL/RSELABXX

2. From a DOS Command Prompt window, go to the directory where you downloaded the 
savefile and use ftp to send the rselabxx.savf file to the iSeries. (press enter 
after each statement)

ftp <iseries_name>
<user_id>
<password>
binary
put rselabxx.savf qgpl/rselabxx
quit

3. Restore the library on the iSeries by running the following command from an OS/400
command prompt:
RSTLIB RSELABXX DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(QGPL/RSELABXX)

The library has now been restored to the iSeries.
