This directory includes:
   
    1) Latest VisualAge C++ for AIX V402 PTFs
    2) Latest DAX fixes for VisualAge C++ for AIX V402
    3) VisualAge C++ for AIX version 4.0.2.0 


Installation Instructions
--------------------------

1) VisualAge C++ for AIX 4.0.2.3 PTFs

    1.1) Download the following files into same directory in binary format:
           - vacpp.4023.ptf.f1.tar.Z
           - vacpp.4023.ptf.f2.tar.Z
           - vacpp.4023.ptf.f3.tar.Z
           - vacpp.4023.ptf.f4.tar.Z

    1.2) Uncompress and untar the vacpp.4023.ptf.fx.tar.Z files to extract the files.
    1.3) The resulting files are in installp format.  Use installp or smit
         to install.


2) DAX fixes for VisualAge C++ for AIX V402

     2.1) Download the vacpp.DAX.ptf.tar.Z file in binary format.
     2.2) Uncompress and untar vacpp.DAX.ptf.tar.Z to extract the files.
     2.3) The resulting files are in installp format.  Use installp or smit
          to install.


3) VisualAge C++ for AIX version 4.0.2.0 

     3.1) download the following files in binary format.
                vacpp40f1.tar.Z
                vacpp40f2.tar.Z
                vacpp40f3.tar.Z
                vacpp40f4.tar.Z
        
     3.2) uncompress and untar the vacpp40fx.tar.Z files to extract the install images.
     3.3) the resulting files are in installp format.  Use installp or smit to
          install.


Note 
-----
The  4.0.2.0 level of the VisualAge C++ compiler is a product refreshes.  
It is available here with a try and buy license.  This product refreshes
will continue to work with any existing product licenses enrolled for previous
level of the 4.0 product. 
However, it is important that any existing license files be backed up in case 
they need to be enrolled again in the future.
